Olympic trap is, as the name suggests, on the Olympic programme, but the discipline is practiced by shooters of all levels. The course has 5 stands in a row, and each stand has 3 throwing machines that hurl the birds out in varying directions. After 10 m, the bird must be up to a height of 1–4 m. The shooter's starting position is with the rifle against the shoulder ready to shoot 1 or if necessary 2 times at each bird, in the final, however, only 1 shot. After the shooter has shot at a correct bird, the shooter rotates on to the next stand. With a flight length of 76 metres, OL-trap has the fastest birds in the world of escape shooting.
